First few weeks of the new semester has begun, the whole class was divided into teams. I was part of the Marketing Team with three other girls. The Graphic Design teams helped us with the Marketing collaterals for our event. The collaterals included Posters, Facebook banner, Invitation and Logo. There were two teams who pitched their ideas to us and we had to select the works of one of them. The first week we liked the ideas of Team A but after a lot of thinking and changes we selected Team B. We all had to choose all four collaterals of one team and couldn’t do half and half. We also had to create ten designer profiles for all our final designers as part of signages and for social media upload. Eventually the Marketing Team had to do many changes on the poster on their own and we finally used the final poster and invitation attached above.

All of us came up with a step by step plan for the marketing for the event which included the details of our Instagram posts, the Hashtag (#compositionexhibit) and Marketing strategies.

My teammate and I worked together on the Press release, which were sent to Magazines and media companies to cover our event.

The design team came up with a theme of ‘Botanic Display’, which went well with our designers collections and suited the venue. The venue was ‘Paragon’ which is a high-end shopping mall in central Singapore. Our concept was highly minimalistic and contemporary which was decided keeping in mind our target audience.
